MY BLUE PHASE!

50/50 #42
50/50 (42)
This was another subtle background with a simple drawing.  This is a technique that I have used many times.  I stamp into wet gesso.  This was a commercial stamp giving a nice rough texture to the surface.  I glazed it with a soft cerulean blue.  A very sketchy looking drawing with a little tonal value added for interest.

I love it! It is rather delicate, like your subject.

I like the more simple backgrounds and as always I love all the texture you include. What type of ink do you use for the line drawings? May I ask?

Thank you, Sherry and Billie, for loyally following along each day. The ink I have been using is Carbon Ink. Rather expensive (about $25 for a bottle) but rich and permanent. Some of the surfaces I have created are non absorbent, so the ink may smear if a wet brush is applied. I have sprayed every panel with acrylic UV protective coating.
