My blog now has the ability to have separate "pages" for more detailed information. I have created a page with my workshop schedule. You can find the link right under the title image. Check it out! There are a few videos I "borrowed" for the French Escapade website showing where we will be staying in Belgium for the European workshop. Also a video of places we will be painting there. I will be adding additional pages as time and inspiration strike. If you have any suggestions of things you might like me to create a page on, drop me a note.
Now, about this painting...
This iPad application is called Eastern Drawing. It simulates rice papers and Asian Brush marks. The faster you move your finger or stylus, the thinner the line you can make. Just like in real life, the longer you keep your finger to the surface, the more the ink pools. Practicing with this app is helping me to stop, think about the mark I want to make and then act quickly and decisively. I already see more control in when I use my Pentel Japanese Brush Pen. I wish they had Kanji for the red stamp. Just a regular alphabet and places for 4 letters. This is the best chop I could design. It doesn't look right to me and I feel like there is a different set of characters hidden from me that I can't find.

Myrna, was there supposed to be a picture in this? Either I'm losing my mind completely or you forgot to insert it? Anyway, sounds interesting what you're doing with the IPad and you're getting the most out of it, I know - and sharing your knowledge, which is a great thing!
Myrna, did you plan to post an image with this entry? I can't see it if you did.:(
Sorry, I'm confused. Where is the title image and the link to your workshops? I don't see the image you usually post at the head of your message.
Rhonda, thanks for the heads up. I fixed it. It was there last night when I posted. I have no idea why the image disappeared but it is back now.
Ah, it must have gone out cyber-dancing last night while you weren't looking :) Could you capture some kanji letters and use those for a chop (perhaps manipulating them in photoshop or some such program)?
The big heading "Creativity Journey"with the picture of me, glasses half way down my nose. Under that in green lettering is WORKSHOP SCHEDULE. That's where the pages are to be found. Click on the word and the page will come up.
Oh, I love your lines in this; such force. It is a wonderful piece.
I am going to check this ipad app, sounds fun !
you could down load an Asain font and use those to make your chop?
just thinking out loud!
