(by the way, interesting that almost all the winners and finalists are of the realistic style).

Thank you all for the wonderful comments and support! For one last hurrah, I have entered this painting in the National Portrait Gallery, Washington DC portrait competition. I must wait for October to see what happens there.
After that, I will probably retire this one to the vault but it has been a fantastic ride!
