3 MORE GRAPHITE SKETCHES

I spent the afternoon curled up in a chair keeping warm and sketching. Here are the results. One of the 4 heads in the composite drawing is Lionel Barrymore. I only remember him in the movies as an old man. This was from a photo taken in 1918. He was very handsome! His brother, John, was the big heart throb back in the day, but I think I am falling for Lionel. What a surprise!

Ah, and here I thought this was your Grumpy Old Men series :) Very nicely done, as always.

Very nice. Lionel was an interesting character. I always look for the Barrymore traits in Drew Barrymore. Last night I saw a 1921 movie with Louie Calhern. Now that was a shock, with him as a young man! But, since I knew who it was, I looked for his characteristics and he was recognizable. I never would have guessed, though.

Nice drawings!! I can't stop looking at the top one (yes, with envy).

I admit I've no clue who Lionel is, but the mustached guy in the composite drawing makes me think of Don Quixote. It also reminds me how desperately I need to work on noses...
