I was sitting at Gallery Concord yesterday and decided to start preparatory sketches for my next painting.

I am challenging myself to work on my art every day and create a minimum of 2 finished pieces each week. My intention is to explore ideas and techniques and push myself beyond my comfort zone. I will be working in a series with several different images. My interests at this time are drawing, line, texture and color. I will be posting exercises and challenges for myself and any others who wish to join in the Creativity Journey.

I wonder what she is thinking...? Going to be beautiful and I can't wait to see more.
Hi Autumn. I think the senior years tend to be a time of reflection. I like my paintings to be suggestive and let the viewer complete the story.
LOVELY sketch!!!! There's lots of character in that face.
Myrna, Your sketches are always so TIDY, yet so loose and fresh ... lots of energy. Inspiring for someone whose sketches are often like chicken scratches. I know this will evolve in wonderful interesting ways.
Lovely! I am going to take a look at the Inktense Blocks. I had never heard of them.
Have fun with your European workshop. I just returned Thursday night from France and Ireland and both were lovely.
Absolutely love your sketch... Just wandering by. So much life espressed.
Live next to a nursing home. Wonder about the many faces looking at walls... Waiting...
Best to you. Will stop by again.
Jean
