These are a couple of the little test pieces I created in preparing for my demo. Not great but informative in combining materials.

I am challenging myself to work on my art every day and create a minimum of 2 finished pieces each week. My intention is to explore ideas and techniques and push myself beyond my comfort zone. I will be working in a series with several different images. My interests at this time are drawing, line, texture and color. I will be posting exercises and challenges for myself and any others who wish to join in the Creativity Journey.

I find these pieces when you post them at the start, quite interesting and rather ghostly!
I so enjoy your posting the beingning s of projects. For me, they make me "hopeful" that I can turn some out as nice as yours!
Myrna, as aside question regarding the Doc Martin Hydrus Watercolors. I have been using them almost exclusively since my last workshop with you, and have been responsible for several students buying them as well. BUT, a coule of the students have come back to me to tell me that, say, Art Media in Portland, has told them that the Hyrus Watercolors are not archival and that they fade. What is your experience and/or insider info on them? The bottle says "lightfast," and "permanent," but am not sure how that gets interpreted in the art world. Any insights wo0uld be greatly appreciated. Mostly because I still love them, and still want t ouse [and master] them!
Thanks Autumn
like the layers, tetures and definition in your work. It's always interesting and takes a while to draw my attention to so many beautiful details.
I particularly like the top one Myrna. It has intrigue.
