SKETCHBOOK COMPLETED!

I had a great afternoon. I was listening to a book on tape (cd) in one computer while I did the drawings for the sketchbook using photos from my laptop! (it isn't fixed yet but I brought it back while waiting for a part so I can use the photos stored there) I used the Elegant Writer Caligraphy pen and a wet brush. I like the results so much, I think I will try a half sheet painting using this combination of materials. The Frenchman better look out!

These are knock-your-socks-off gorgeous, delectable, intriguing, splendid. I love the effect of the 'make it yourself' book. So, so creative.

Very strong faces you've got there, Myrna. I can smell fear coming from the Frenchman.

Brilliant.
Great use of mixed media/collage. I hadn't thought of using tissue paper. It's something I will definitely try.

Your portraiture skill is awesome.

I too, am so impressed. Your sketchbook is beautiful. I would like to try it...I will have a VERY long piece of watercolor paper left over from my next commission. I can accordion fold and make a book!

I think this would be a lovely demo...I would like to be in the audience if you should demo your sketchbook making.

These are all very striking. Some of them made me think of Kathe Kollwitz and her work.
