BETTER THAN CHRISTMAS!

Today, my issue of Watercolor Artist (April 2012) arrived!  The magazine will be available on the newsstands February 21st but I have been hearing from some of you that you already have it. I wrote the Creativity Corner article with a challenge for everyone to try some of the ideas.  The editors were kind enough to also feature one of my self-portraits on the last page PLUS, my photo is on the same page with Shirley Travena!!!!  In fact, I am honored to be among some really fabulous artists featured in this issue.

My husband took me out today and bought me an early birthday present.  He said it was also for Valentine's Day (I guess no chocolates for me!) and every other event he could think of for the year.  I think a brand new 2011 Alizarin Crimson PRIUS pretty much covers all the holidays for the year!

Pretty much a red letter day all around

Happy all 2012 events and what a gorgeous gift! Congratulations too on your inclusion in the Watercolor Artist magazine. I was just looking at the February issue at Barnes & Noble and saw one of your self portraits within that magazine. At least I think it was the February issue...I'm a wee bit confused now. At any rate, I am now a subscriber and look forward to my issues arriving. Hopefully it will be this one!

WOW! That is a gift that covers birthday, Valentine's Day and anniversary, too :) I'm putting up something on my blog to go along with your Creativity Workshop article in the magazine - I hope I can make my finished painting look like something good (right now, it's a bit ugly). Congratulations on a RED LETTER day :)

Not only do you have the Creativity Workshop, a featured article, but also the last page ...AND your picture on the same page with Shirly TRevena!

So cool and well deserved! Would love to see you tooling around in red.

You are right - it is better than Christmas.
Only an artist would describe the color of a car as alizarin crimson.
I had an artist friend who was telling me how to get to her house. She said it was the only raw sienna house on the block. LOL
Congrats all around.

Woohoo!!! What a great Valentine and b'day gift! I think you've earned it this year. I have a February birthday, too, but don't expect quite as nice a gift. Congratulations on a well-deserved reward.
