I am challenging myself to work on my art every day and create a minimum of 2 finished pieces each week. My intention is to explore ideas and techniques and push myself beyond my comfort zone. I will be working in a series with several different images. My interests at this time are drawing, line, texture and color. I will be posting exercises and challenges for myself and any others who wish to join in the Creativity Journey.

ALL IN A DAYS WORK
The day was overcast all day. I was planning to go sit in a beautiful little park around the corner and do some plein air painting but sunny California was missing the sun today. I spent the day drawing in my sketch book with a new pen. I love the extra fine point which provides lots of detail. Tomorrow will be a day out of the house, with or without sun.
All those sketches are so good! I like the way you catch the expressions in those lines.Weathered faces are perfect for drawing..I like them very much!
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me what the pen is? I am on the lookout for a good very fine pen - too frustrated with the rapidograph clogging up. I just bought a prismacolor pen set that I have to experiment with and have my eyes on a staedtler. -Janet
ReplyDeleteWonderful expressive sketches!
ReplyDeleteYou do such lovely portrait work, Myrna! The whole grouping together is just fantastic...sorry about the portrait gallery competition results.
ReplyDeleteWow! Do I wish I could draw like you.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the angles of view you always come up with. They are unusual and surprising.
What pen is it you were using ?
