I found a book of Ben Shahn's drawings today in a used book store in Palo Alto. I think I love his work more and more. It is inspiring me.
Tomorrow I will be doing lots of drawings on the finished backgrounds.
I am challenging myself to work on my art every day and create a minimum of 2 finished pieces each week. My intention is to explore ideas and techniques and push myself beyond my comfort zone. I will be working in a series with several different images. My interests at this time are drawing, line, texture and color. I will be posting exercises and challenges for myself and any others who wish to join in the Creativity Journey.

ReplyDeleteYou must be so pleased with these pieces, Myrna. They really are exquisite!
ReplyDeleteWhat is deli paper? Where do you purchase it? Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi Meera, Come and visit and I'll take you to the exhibit so you can see them in person!
ReplyDeleteSherry, thanks for checking in every day!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, Deli paper is used by Ann Bagby in her collage work. It is the non-waxed squares that they wrap sandwiches in at Delicatessens. You can usually find them at warehouse type stores. It comes with about 500 sheets to a box!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks myrna ... I am anxious to try this technique! I love your work!
