I am challenging myself to work on my art every day and create a minimum of 2 finished pieces each week. My intention is to explore ideas and techniques and push myself beyond my comfort zone. I will be working in a series with several different images. My interests at this time are drawing, line, texture and color. I will be posting exercises and challenges for myself and any others who wish to join in the Creativity Journey.

I think this is going to be gorgeous, Myrna. Did you say this is a gift for your husband? He will be thrilled, I believe.
ReplyDeleteMyrna,
ReplyDeleteI am really liking this especially the two faces on the left.

Hi Myrna, Thank you for posting your work in progress. I find it fun seeing you develop your idea!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy seeing your process. I'm thinking this will be as expressive as the previous work I have seen. Could you have done preliminary sketches with your iPad? Would that have made for some easy manipulation?
ReplyDeleteI just bought myself an iPad. I was wondering what drawing app do you use?
Hi Sherry, I have high hopes for this series. It is not a specific gift for my husband but we end up with most of them anyway!
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki, Thanks for the comment. The faces will begin to morph as I move along.
ReplyDeleteHi Peggy, I too like to see a series of paintings from artists....its like watching their brain working!
ReplyDeleteHi Davida, Interesting question. I certainly could do sketching of this series with the iPad but at this stage of life, I am used to processing with paper and pencil or pen and it is difficult to switch over entirely. I like to hold a newspaper rather than read news on a device. It seems like there is a connection between my brain and the materials and my thinking and processing. My favorite drawing and painting app is Sketch Club. It seems the most simplified and the spot where you switch out the color or tool is always visible and easy to work with. I look forward to seeing what you do with your iPad in an artistic way!
