I am challenging myself to work on my art every day and create a minimum of 2 finished pieces each week. My intention is to explore ideas and techniques and push myself beyond my comfort zone. I will be working in a series with several different images. My interests at this time are drawing, line, texture and color. I will be posting exercises and challenges for myself and any others who wish to join in the Creativity Journey.

LATEST LIFE DRAWINGS
Here are some sketches I did from a life model last week. I was trying out different materials. I think my favorite continues to be the Pentel Brush Pen.
I love these drawings and can't wait to see them transform into paintings. I can see you doing a series with that first one, where she is lying down reading a book. You're so great with series, and they keep getting more and more imaginative.
Just delightful work, Myrna. I love the colors in the face in the center drawing.

ReplyDeleteyou draw beautifully no matter what you choose to draw with.
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry, thanks for the comment. I was using these brush pens filled with different colors on Tyvek. The jury is still out on how I like them.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, I was able to photograph the model, so the potential is there. I am getting ready to start a new series but haven't settled on anything yet.
ReplyDeleteHi Liz, what a lovely compliment coming from a master like you! Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteI love your sketch work...the lines kind of look like they are twirling as they go along...very very loose...it's so nice.
