DEMO DISASTER!

This was as far as I was able to complete the painting for the demo last night.  I think the stress of being videoed and having less than an hour to work, got to me.  I was able to share some new materials and some different ways of working on the Tyvek paper, but overall, I was not very happy with this painting.         Still, it was fun meeting everyone and sharing my enthusiasm for art.  Everyone was complimentary and said they enjoyed the evening.  I appreciated their warm hospitality.

    Not a disaster at all! The point is, you were able to share ideas about technique in a very short period of time. I'll bet they learned a LOT!

    Wish I could paint as well as your disasters, Myrna. You are a terrific teacher and I can't wait to attend another workshop. I'm sure the people at the demo got a lot of great information in a very short time.

    It doesn't look at all like a disaster to me. Maybe you know much more than I do, but if I could do that painting (in double the time), I would be pleased with my Self.

    you are much too hard on yourself ... it may not be what you had in mind but it looks great and I would have loved to have been there to see you work!

    I, too, say "ditto". I wish I could have been there to hear all your tips about painting on Tyvek. I think it's great, I can't imaging doing that in an hour, plus engaging an audience with painting tips.

    Far from a disaster that's for sure. I'm interested in knowing why you painted on Tyvek?
    I paint on Tyvek and then put a hot iron to it which makes it shrink up and get bubbly for use as a collage material. You surely wouldn't want to do that to a portrait, so why the Tyvek?
