I am challenging myself to work on my art every day and create a minimum of 2 finished pieces each week. My intention is to explore ideas and techniques and push myself beyond my comfort zone. I will be working in a series with several different images. My interests at this time are drawing, line, texture and color. I will be posting exercises and challenges for myself and any others who wish to join in the Creativity Journey.

KEEPING IT SIMPLE!
50/50 #24
50/50 (24)
This was one of my favorite papers. Fortunately, I didn't mess it up with the drawing. I think the two mesh very well. I only needed a simple ink drawing with no highlight or shadows added.
I continue to enjoy your backgrounds as much as the finished piece. Wish I were closer & could attend the show! Hopefully you'll do a slide presentation for those of us out of the area.
Are all your faces people you know, Myrna? They are all so beautiful with the stories of their lives just imprinted on their faces.
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry, No, most of the faces are interesting strangers. I use my own face sometimes and I love to draw my husband. He is in the mix a few times!
ReplyDeletevery expressive! love your lines!

ReplyDeleteThis its my favorite so far. I love the way the line and background mesh. The face seems to extend out from the support. The ink work its fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind remarks.
